PD Instruments/Spot Testers

A series of online PD spot testing instruments has been released by IPEC that offer a variety of functionality, from straightforward handheld devices that can detect PD to gadgets with data gathering, storage, location, and synchronization capabilities.

PD-SGS
Is an online tool that can find PD in HV assets. Both TEV signals produced by internal discharge in Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and acoustic discharge brought on by corona or surface tracking can be recognized by the device.
PD Detector
Partial discharge (PD) for HV assets can be spot-tested using the PD Detector, an online tool. It can pick up a variety of signals, including TEV signals produced by internal discharges in Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS), acoustic discharges caused by surface tracking or corona, high-frequency signals caused by cable partial discharges, and ultra-high frequency signals caused by internal discharges in Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
PD-SG1
Is a twin transducer device for detecting Switchgear PD. This instrument can distinguish between internal discharge-generated TEV signals and acoustic discharge brought on by corona or surface tracking.

Permanent PD Monitoring

On-line Partial Discharge (PD) monitors vary in design and complexity due to the specific environment in which they will be installed. In MV substations, comprehensive systems that can monitor every piece of switchgear and cable are installed. In contrast, distributed applications such small substations and EHV assets use more tough and reliable devices.

ASM Systems – Permanent PD Monitor
The ASM is a crucial asset management tool since it provides rapid access to continuous online condition data with a single click.
ASM-Portable – Portable PD Monitor
The ASM-Portable is a mobile device that monitors Partial Discharge (PD) in high-voltage assets such as cables and switchgear. This monitoring application enables quick and simple evaluations of the long-term condition of the plant from any distant computer.
PD Alarm

The Partial Discharge (PD) Alarm is a tool that can be put on assets to warn of the possibility of PD in high-voltage switchgear, dry type transformers, and ring main units (RMUs). It has been created specifically for usage in little substations. The device functions as an efficient tool for the prompt detection of PD because it can trigger local and distant alarms and provide a local indicator.
